Coach Training
Andrew/Elite Sports LA has worked for the past 20+ years with AYSO regions to conduct the theory and practical field sessions of coaches training courses ranging from under 6 through under 19 age levels. Each developmental course will follow the AYSO age specific coaching curriculum but will also include additional fun and exciting skill development drills and game play.
Andrew Pearce/Elite Sports LA has also created a week to week regular season curriculum for each age group:

Key Points
U6 - Clinic format first 3 weeks - Andrew & his coaches
Week 3 form teams - Assign coaches.
Out of bounds - Throw-in technique / goal kicks
Kick off
Encourage / verbally reward players for passing
U8 - Game play with goalkeepers & Goal box

- Correct equipment
- Even playing time
- Players not on field sit in coaching box
- Coaches encourage / enforce basic rules of the game / cheer / referee / control parents - Chair & relax / ensure close game

- Weekly Clinics
- Warm up your team before games / practices

- More than 2 standing/waiting = a line…..Avoid!
- Goalkeepers - Change every quarter (No Punting)
- Tell team - never GK fault for goal
- Corner kicks
- Fouls / Free kicks
- Throw-ins - Take again if bad
- Team line-ups / formations
- More parent control
- Positive coaching

- Watch the score (Even if not keeping score! :-)
